P.V. Harrington is an Anglo-Irish writer and journalist currently based in Paris. He is also a member of the London-based Fledgling Arts Collective which helps artists and would-be artists of all kinds, especially those with mental and other problems. His first published poems appeared in a Liverpool poetry magazine back in the 1980s, inspired by the 'Mersey Poets' Adrian Henri, Roger McGough and Brian Patten.

A decade in Asia provided much material, some included in his longest single work "The Fate of the Rock", a history of Hong Kong in iambic pentameter which first appeared in the Hong Kong Tatler magazine. His shortest poem "Daylilies," included here, takes the form of a Japanese haiku.

Though Harrington has previously appeared on stage as a stand-up comedian and a singer/songwriter, he gave his first poetry reading in London in 2012, at the Crystal Palace Overground Festival, including pieces from the Canadian anthology "Sudden Thunder" which appeared the previous year. Also a short-story writer, PV Harrington is currently working on his first novel, which he says he has already finished three times.
